Bridal Trend #1: Lace Bridal Jackets
Lace bridal jackets or wedding dress toppers are not new to the bridal fashion world, but the top bridal designers this season put a twist on this classic accessory. The new twist is that designers are showing lace jackets worn tucked into the bodice of the wedding gown, making them look like they are an extension of the gown. So pretty!
Lace bridal jackets are a timeless look! It feels shameful to call them a trend as we adore a classic bride, so to us, this look never goes out of style for a wedding.
A lace bridal jacket is a great way to offer brides a bit more coverage and also flexibility to update their wedding day look without changing into an entirely different bridal dress.

Bridal Trend #2: Mock Two Pieces
The basque waist trend - where the waistline of the dress sits just below the bride’s natural waistline - continues in wedding fashion, but the emphasis this season is on mock two piece dresses for brides. We saw many of the top bridal designers showcase corseted and basque waistline bodices with column or fit to flare dress skirts.
These newest bridal gown styles are made to look like two pieces as the entire corset is exposed, but they are actually cut as one bridal gown to ensure that the two pieces stay connected as you move! This mock-two piece technique gives brides the look of a form fitting structured dress on the top with the ease and comfort of movement.

Bridal Trend #3: Unique Floral Details
Nothing says Spring like floral details. For Spring/Summer 2026 wedding collections, bridal designers are showing slightly oversized floral details. From uniquely placed accents to all over patterns, these feminine motifs are screaming spring and we are thrilled about it!
Perfect for feminine brides or those who want a delicate bridal look, the unique floral detailing that we spotted coming down the runways added an element of interest to each dress that was effortless and eye-catching all at the same time.
From unique cut outs to fluttering 3D petals, here are some of our favorite new bridal styles with unexpected floral details…

Bridal Trend #4: Traditional Lace
We are thrilled to see that traditional lace is back in bridal! In our opinion, lace will never go out of style when it comes to bridal fashion - ever.
Traditional lace bridal designs graced the runways in all types of silhouettes from ball gowns, to minis, to fit to flare dresses. We have never been so happy to see a classic circle back as a wedding fashion trend, and we know our bridal styling clients will love this too.

Bridal Trend #5: Bridal Minis
Party dresses continue and this bridal dress season they are ultra short and ultra cute! We love that bridal designers are continuing to expand their collections with wedding weekend attire. Mini or short dresses are perfect for all the pre-wedding festivities such as engagement parties, bridal shower, bachelorette party and rehearsal dinner.
If you are a bride who wants to change their wedding day look, a little white dress is a great way to express your style and personality for the dancing portion of your wedding reception or wedding after party.

Bridal Trend #6: Crescent Necklines
Strapless continues to be a dominant neckline across all bridal designers, but a new shape has emerged this season: the crescent neckline. The upward curve of the crescent neckline helps in elongating the bodice of the wedding gown and also provides slightly more coverage than a traditional strapless or sweetheart neckline.
Sitting atop ballgown silhouettes to fitted column shapes, here are some of the newest wedding dress designs with a crescent style neckline…

Bridal Trend #7: Dramatic Veils
No bridal look would be complete without a wedding veil. With the re-emergence of lace bridal jackets and traditional lace dress designs in this season’s dress designs, we also saw very dramatic veils across many of our favorite bridal designers.
Cathedral length wedding veils dominated the runways and bridal showrooms, but we also saw beautiful blusher or short veils. Bridal veils with delicate and dramatic lace trims, and veils with floral details were also shown.
It’s safe to say that dramatic veils that made a statement were the main trending bridal accessory in the latest designer wedding collections this season!

Which trend did you like best?
Of all the new bridal trends that came down the runway this season, my favorite would have to be the re-emergence of traditional lace and the lace bridal jackets. I can never say no to a classic!
